About

Alaric is from Minster in Kent, he began his journey into music when he was 16 years old with a schools production of Les Miserable.

Not always being the best student he found music was the only thing that kept his attention. After finding his love of musical theatre he studied musical theatre at Canterbury College from 2010-2011.

In 2011 he decided to audition for the London School of Musical Theatre, where he became the youngest person ever to attend at the age of 17. Moving to London on his own at 17 from a little village was a huge culture shock. But managing to find a way, he has remained in London since that day.

He went into the security profession, working as a bouncer around various London pubs and clubs before he went on to star in BBC Three’s ‘South Side Story’. Then going onto BBC One’s ‘The Voice UK’ where he got through to the third televised round.

He then went into backstage theatre work, working across various West End theatres, eventually becoming the Deputy Master Carpenter at the Criterion Theatre.

He decided that he needed to pursue music to be happy in his life, so auditioned for the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he secured a place. He decided to put his tools down, and walk towards the other side of the curtain.

Since making this decision he has earned a First Class with honours in music, and won the Chartered Surveyors prize at Guildhall in his third year, as well as reaching the Semi-Final of the prestigious Kathleen Ferrier Awards in his fourth.

He is currently in his second and final year of the Opera Course at Guildhall
